You are invited to a Lenten small group
The season of Lent is a time of prayer, sacrifice, and reflection which, when observed well, helps us to fully celebrate all that Jesus accomplished by his passion, death, and resurrection. For most people, however, observing Lent can be a challenge. Our good intentions to pray and reflect often fall victim to the demands of our busy lives, and when this happens, Lent all too easily can become a guilty slog of just trying to make it to Easter without candy, social media, or beer.
What if Lent could be different? Simpler? More meaningful? What would it be like to arrive at Easter with a better understanding of what Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection mean for YOU? Is that even possible?
Father Gary Casper thinks it is. By following the “little way” of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, he believes that Lent can be transformed from a season of “narrow concern over what to give up into one of joyful freedom to enter into the love of Christ.” Instead of focusing on what we’re giving up for Lent, our small groups will focus on the how and why of observing Lent.
We would love to have you join us in a Lenten small group to explore THE LITTLE WAY OF LENT, based on the Little Way of St. Thérèse. Here is how this will work:
If there is sufficient interest to move forward, participants will receive a confirmation by email reminding them of the start date.
